The RR9-200 combines two functions in a single machine: It can be used on both tracks and roads. Its unique crawler undercarriage, with 90° rotation, allows it to enter and exit the tracks at a right angle—a particular advantage in confined spaces such as inner-city construction sites or train stations. Thanks to hydraulic controls, the machine effortlessly switches between road and rail operation without complicated alignment maneuvers. On the tracks, it reaches a maximum speed of 10 km/h, allowing it to quickly reach the job site. In addition, the RR9-200 offers a working height of 9.50 m and a lateral reach of 4.30 m, enabling it to handle a wide range of maintenance and repair tasks. It can be optionally equipped with a zero-emission lithium-ion battery drive, enabling operation in sensitive areas such as tunnels, underground stations, and buildings. This flexibility makes it an indispensable tool for operations conducted on both roads and rails.

The RR9-200 is designed to offer maximum mobility with minimal effort. Weighing less than 3 metric tons, it can be easily transported on a custom-built trailer towed by a standard passenger car or van equipped with a trailer hitch. Because the machine is so light and compact, a commercial driver’s license is not required, making it accessible to a wider range of users. Its dimensions (4.12 m long, 1.60 m wide, and 2.30 m high) allow the work platform to be used in tight spaces, on cramped construction sites, and in urban environments. This mobility not only reduces logistical effort but also lowers costs, as no large transport vehicles or special permits are required. This makes the RR9-200 perfectly suited for companies that frequently change work locations.

Maximum safety and precise control

The RR9-200 is equipped with state-of-the-art technology to ensure maximum safety and ease of operation. The work basket, made of lightweight and sturdy aluminum, offers ample space for two people and has a maximum load capacity of 200 kg. Special copper strands ensure the operator’s electrical safety by establishing a secure connection between the work basket and the rails. The hydraulically controlled undercarriage ensures stability, even with track superelevation of up to 180 mm. The machine features precise proportional controls that can be operated either via a radio remote control or directly from the work basket. Features such as an automatic return to the transport position (“coming-home function”) and a diagnostic display simplify maintenance and reduce downtime.

In addition, each rail drive wheel is equipped with a negative brake that is automatically activated when power is off, which enhances safety during unplanned stops. The combination of precise control, a modern safety concept, and ease of operation makes the RR9-200 a reliable solution for use on rails and roads—always with the operator’s safety in mind.

The custom-built trailer from the Austrian manufacturer TIMA ensures hassle-free transport, making the RR9-200 an ideal solution for flexible operations on both rail and road.

A standout feature of the RR9-200 is its innovative crawler undercarriage, which allows for easy maneuverability both on the road and off-road. The hydraulically controlled undercarriage allows for a seamless transition from the rails to the road wheels, while the 90°-rotating tracks make it easier to navigate the tracks at right angles. This feature minimizes the space required for rail-to-road and road-to-rail transitions and, thanks to the SCANRECO radio remote control, provides operators with flexible control over the work area.

The RR9-200 is equipped with a powerful 10.5 kW diesel engine, which can optionally be supplemented with lithium-ion batteries to ensure zero-emission operation. This makes the work platform particularly suitable for use in tunnels, underground rail systems, and buildings.
